On the 1st day of April, 2003 I drove my ’73 Mustang convertible
to the American Southwest
“Through Canyons & Skies”
I found you amongst the beautiful red wood floors of your gallery
in the high desert of the American Southwest.
You were wearing orange.
I would later wash the red floor from my jeans,
in ‘The Cowgirl Room’ of The Silver Saddle Motel.
The next day you would ask me to write a collaboration with you.
I would say ‘YES’! I have no idea why.
You see, I had written policy and standards for government before! I
had just quit.
“Do you want to think about it?” you asked.
“YES! I do! Yes, I want to write a collaboration with you!”
We laugh.

consciously filling up my beautiful basket until it is overflowing
with brightly colored, ripe, sweet, juicy fruit of all shapes and sizes
that I have found in my journey of discovering who I really am.”
